The company was pub through ■cTmpany drill by Chief Petty-Officer Toomey and afterwards formed into gun detachments, and underwent a severe -course oi questioning by Sir A. Douglas. At the close of the parade Colonel Fox ■ expressed himeelf as highly pleased with the company drill and also with the knowledge shown by all ranks in gunnery. Smith were elected delegates to the annual Meeting of the Ashley district; and they were instructed to support a motion from the Ohoka Lodge that the rule providing for a member increasing his contributions to insure the payment of £100 at death, be rescinded. Arrangement was made to send Bro W. Kennedy to the Kotorua Sanatorium for treatment.
