The course was once round the champion couree of Tuesday, about sixteen miles. A heavy southerly breeze waa blowing at the Btart, but moderated as the day wore on. Waitangi (» cratch) soon took the lead, and maintained it to the finish. The race waa robbed of a goad deal of interest owing to one of the Mascotte'a crew (N. Haydon) falling overboard. She lost so much time in attempting to rescue him that she lost nny chance of winning, and gave up. She had a handicap of sis minutes from the Waitangi, and when the accident occurred was Eeveral hundred yards behind her.
