Valedictory.— On Friday afternoon Mr F. Pegler, for.some years a pupil teacher I in the Woodend Bchool, waa presented I with a purse of sovereigns on the occasion of his departure for the Normal School. The master, Mr W. C. Armitage, made the presentation on behalf of the scholars. In the evening Mr J. Judson, captain of the 1 Woodend Cricket Club, presented Mr • Pegler with a portmanteau as a recognition 1 ' of hiß services for the last three years in * c connection with the club, of which he has , i been honorary seoretary. |
