W. Stbikob and Co., notwithstanding* low prices quoted, make and lay all carpets 2s lid per yard and upwards, free ef charge. A London curata had the usual notice to marry a couple one Sunday morning, but when the time came he found that only the woman had arrived. After waiting some time, and no man coming, she reluctantly withdrew. The next Sunday the woman turned up as before, and again no man. After waiting some conaiderable timo she became furious, and exclaimed : " Drat him I 'taint his boots tuii time, 'cause I bought him a pair."
