Canterbury Rugby Union.
A general meeting of the Canterbury Eugby Union was held at the Clarendon Hotel lest evening, to consider the-ad-visablenees of granting a percentage of gate-money to the. various senior clubs, and the question of acquiring an interest in Lancaster Park by purchasing shares in the Canterbury Athletic Sports Ground Company. Dr Jennings occupied the chair. Them wbb a fair attendance of delegates. After discussion, it was resolved to adjourn the meeting sine die. A ! meeting of the committee was then held ; present—Dr Jennings (in the chair) and Messrs F. T. Evans, G. Mussen, H. De Mans, H. Frost, W. Balch and F. E. Asquith. It was resolved to entertain the New South Walea, New Zsaland and Canterbury teams at a supper and smoke concert on Saturday evening, and to issue extra tickets at 3a each. The arrangements were left in the handß of the Entertainment Committee. The meeting then closed. ■
