A Terrible Nuisance.
TO THE EDXTOB. Sib, —la it reasonable or proper that one mau in our neighbourhood should be allowed by those whoße doty it is to suppress the nuisance that is now raging at Addingtonj namely, the gravel pit, should be the cause of people removing from their homes, and those remaining suffering in health from this abominable Btench P If something is not done immediately to drain off this black, putrid pool of water into the main sewer, typhoid fever wilt be raging in a few daya, Toe, Mr Editor, and many more passing to and from town, inhale this "fragrant perfume.". Then how are the people residing close to it affected?.- And all for the cost of a few yards of piping and some labour. Permission has been granted by the Drainage Board, and why cannot the work be done? lam.&c, J. MA.CGREGOR. Lincoln Road, August 27.
