How to Record Votes.
In consequence of inquiries as to the method of voting in the election, we may state that voters will be furnished with voting papers bearing the names of the candidates for the Licensing Committee, and the local option propositions. Theße, I in the Christchurch district will be :— I vote that the number of publicans' licenses continue as at present. I vote that the number of publicans' licenses be reduced. I vote that no publicans' licenses be granted. j In voting for committee-men the elector must leave not more that eight names uncancelled. In the local option vote the elector must strike out the proposals for which he or she does not vote, by drawing lines through tbem with a pencil. If more than one proposal be left uncancelled the vote will be void. It is announced that the Eev Father Bell has retired from the election for a Licensing Committee for Cbristchurcb.
