Patents.-— The latest gazetted applications for patents include the following : —David Lit'le, farm labourer, We6t Melton, an improved horse - clipping machine. J. W. Bowman, pianoforte tuner, Christchurch, "a new or improved method of enabling persons to accompany Boiga i without the "aid of notes, either on h * pianoforte, harmonium or organ." The Superintendent of the Lyttolton Sailors' Home desires to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of a parcel of illustrated Home papers from Mr P. Cunningham ; also a parcel of Home paper* from Mr Canton, Godley Head Lighthouse.
