— r- • The New Zealand Association. [Pee Pbebs Association. J AUCKLAND, Oct. 13. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association was held last night, delegates from the southern Swimming Clubs being present. The following Chriatchurch Cluto were elected to membership :— St Albans, Sydenham, and Eichmond. The officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows :— President, Sir Robert Stoat; Hon Secretary and Treasurer, Mr E. St Clair ; Auditors, Messrs Esam and O'Meara ; Appeal Committee—North, Messrs O'Meara, St -Clair, and Gtiltoa; South, Mesßrs Austin, Smith, Cotterill, and Holiday. The Conßuls for last year were re-elected. It was decided to alter the plunging championship from a distance to a time race. It was decided that the swimming championship in. January next be held in Auckland, in view of the projected visit of a Sydney team.
