Land Purchase. — A telegram from Dunedin says . — It is understood that the Minister for Lands has concluded the purchase from Mr John Douglao (Mount Royal) of hiß Pomahaka Downs, Burning Plains, estate, on the banks of the Poinahakft, and adjoining the famed Clydevale estate. The area is 7462 acres, and the price is about £2 10s per acre. A portion of the estate sold, in 1889, and not the best of it, realised JB3 123 per acre.
