[Per Press Association.] HASTINGS, Oct. 2. The weather was fine for the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Meeting, and there was a good attendance. The following are results of the racing :— OCTOBEE HANDICAP, of 60 soys. One mile and a distance. Dreamland, Bst ... ... 1 Bangiatea, Bst ... 2 Mystic, 7st 3 Freelance 7st 81b, Goosander 7st 21b, Waterlily 7st 21b and Fleta 6st 71b also started. Lochness 7st 81b was scratched. This was a great raoe, Dreamland just getting home by a nose. Time— 2min 2seo. Dividend £4, 4s. FIRST HANDICAP HUBDLE BACE, of 75 eovs. Abont two miles. __apua, list ... ... ... »• 1 Jack, lOst 61b 2 Chester, lOst 71b 3 Satyr list 121 b, Dromedary lOst 61b, Avis lOst, Joker lOst and Oddfellow 9st 101 b also started. Won comfortably. All jumped well, but Dromedary fan round the hurdles in the turn and was put out of it. Dividend £3. Time — 4min l___ec. c.% HAWKE'S BAY GUINEAS, of 300 soys. One mile. Pegasus J Stanmoor 2 Noyade ••• 3 Won from start to finish. All started. The winner got home by a length and a half. Stanmoor could not get up under the whip. Time— lmin 47_sec. Dividend £1 18s.
