.. — + Fine of £10, TPek Pbbss Association.! 1 " WELLINGTON, Sept. 2£>. In a recent case before the Court, evidence v;a. given that some bandsmen wore driuking in two hotels early on Sunday morning. On the strength of this the proprietors have been summoned. Stephen Dealey, licensee of the Panama Hotel, pleaded " guilty " fco a charge of selling.after hours, and was fined .810 and costs. A second charge was withdrawn. A Bimilar charge was preferred against the Army and Navy Hotel, .but the witness who, in the stabbing case, had; said he was drinking in the hotel,, now contradicted himself, and other evidence- was also contradictory. The Eeaident Magistrate said he had no option but to dismiss the charge^
