CUSTOMS' REVENUE.
[Per Pxesp Association.] WELLINGTON, Sept 1. The Customs' revenue for August is £164,876 against £138,895 in July, and £161,851 last August. Auckland contributed £40,941, Wellington £34,484, Christchurch £26,380, and Duneflin £35,322. The receipts are now £11,795 above the average of the e3timate3. August is the third highest month on record, being only exceeded by November 1888, when there was a rush on case spirits through the alteration in the tariff, and by February 1892. The amounto in these two cases were £178,000 and £165,000. The beer duty for August was £4574 againat £4133 in July, and £4301 in last August. Auckland contributed £1016, Wellington £479, Chriatchurch £857, and Dunedin £1080.
