Elementary Physics. — Professor j Bickerton'a firtt lecture of hie new series ou the first principles of science was given last evening, to an audience of one hundred and thirty. He dealt in broad i outlines with the forces of nature, viz., ' gravitation, molecular attraction (cohesion, capillary attraction, &a.), atomic attraction (chemical affinity), magnetic attraction and electrical attraction.
