A Fish Market.
TO THE RDITOE. Sib,— Will you let me aek whether the time haa arrived when there should be a public fish market in Christchurch, aa the " Fishery Eepott" said there ought to be a market in the central towns. Now, sir, would you let me draw attention to my case as one in point. I have been charged fifteen per cent upon my fish when sold. One of the witnesses against me in the recent Court case said I was not admitted into the market. A dmitling that I should be a trespasser and that they had the power to remove me, what ground have they for selling by auction P Was there a market where I could procure fish for cash I would be satisfied, but not as it ie now. —I am, &c, G. TIBBS.
