An answer to the French ultimatum is expected by the French Government on Sunday. LONDON; Jin* $1. In the House of Commons to-day, Sir 13. Grey, Parliamentary Under* Secretary in the Foreign Office, said the only part of the ultimatum which concerned England was the $Woh action with regard to territory in Siam: He stated that Lord Dufferin had returned to Paris for the purpose of exchanging amicable views on the jpoint. Sir E. Grey, in the House of Commons, said that the French warships at Bangkok had not observed the treaty, though there was reason to believe jt was pot wilfully done. He declined to ask France to extend the time for the receipt of an answer to their ultimatum. The Siamese have cut the telegraph line between Bangkok and Saigon. The French warships at Bangkok are training their guns on passing Siamese vessels. China, is supporting Siam, and Russia is aiding France.
