A Missing Schooner.

[Peb Fbess Association.] AUCKLAND, June 17. Donald and Edenboro's schooner Goldfinch, now over fifty days outfrom Mangara, Baratonga, and for the safety of .which fears are entertained, had the following crew and passengers on board :— George Shorb, of Auckland, master; E. Miller, mate ; Simmonde, cook, four native sailors ; Robert Washbourue and Stephenson, passengers; and ono female and two male native passengers. She had on board forty-seven tons of coral, thirty-six tons of copra, about £400 worth of trade and 700 dollars in cash. The cargo, the value of which was about ;8600, was uninsured, there being only a policy of .£3OO on the hull with the New Zealand Insurance Company. The vessel and cargo belonged to Messrs Donald and Edenboro. Captain G. Short, her master, is well-known in Auckland, and had the reputation of being an excellent seaman. Miller, the mate, was long on the John Williams, missionary barque. Clarke and Co.'s 18-carat gold wedding keeper or engagement rings, at £1 Is, are the heaviest and best finished.
