*Ths Old Immigration Barracks. — A telegram was received yesterday at the Christchurch branch of the Labour Bureau to the effect that rules for the guidance of those who wish to make use of the old Immigration Barracks during the winter are on their way down from Wellington. On their receipt, arrangements will at once be made to render the buildings suitable for occupation. All crude oil, or so-called Eucalypti Extracts are to be classed according to the named authorities among the turpentines which are of insignificant medicinal value, and abandoned long since as an internal medicament.
