Th<fe pieco produced was Dion BoucicauJt's celebrated Irish drama r Ph& ShaugTvrtsun, winch was- heartily received* and in -whiah th» parts were well, sustained, especially, the leading chaWtcterß. Mr J. B:. dWfeiU's fame as; an Irish comedi-Aa had preceded him, and in the assumptaga ofr the part of Con th& SJaaughraun ho was especially good. The wake scene and, abo>that in which he represents the escaped conviot, evoked; aeaity applause. Mr Collet Dobaon a& Captain Molineaas, had a part that suitedj Mm excellently and he played it with, every attention, to. derail and dignity. Mt> Walter Medus as> Harvey Duff, Mr W. E» JermynasCorsy, aasd Mr Ciemer as Father Doolan, gave ve&y oaadi table representations of the charagters entrusted to them, but the make up of the parish priest was capable of considerable improvement. Miss Idxene Thornton. a» Claire Ffolliot had ap^rt that suited hac misoh better than any of her previou^^Jes, and the audience freely and cordially appreciated her acting. Mies Fanny Wiseman as Moya, Con's sweethear^ "was as coy and canny as the part required her to be, and Bhe xeoeived her share of the honours of the evening. The. minor parts were well sustained, and tha performers were called before the curtain, at tha close of the second, aefc. The scenesy* > a,nd mountings were excellently managed^ 1 and. Mr A. Ingleson is W be complimented on the scene in which, the Sbattghvaun Tower is introduced* The limelight was | under the management of Mr J.
