The Pahiatua Murder Case.
[Pbb Pbbsb Association. J WELLINGTON, April 7. The only evidence of importance at the murder trial this afternoon was that of Eva Comowski, the wife of a farmer living at Mangahone. The witness stated that about eight o'clock on a morning in November, 1890, accused come fco her house during her husband's absence. There seemed to be something wrong with him, and he appeared to have been fighting all night. There were teara in his eye.'. Crossexamined : She really believed that accnßed murdered Jacobsen. When she saw him in the morning she told her children there was something wrong with him. £ter husband brought accused home with him the same evening, and on the following morning she told him she thought he (accused) had killed that man (Jacobsen).
