Union Eowing Club.— The opening of the Union Eowing Club'a Debating Society waß celebrated last night at the boat-house by a "social." There were about sixty present, many beine ladies. The chair was occupied by the Captain, Mr F. D. Keateven. Among others, the following contributed to the evening's entertainment :— Pianoforte solo, Mr J. C. Allan j duet, Misses Bryant and Hagerty ; violin bolo, Mr W. Eowe ; recitation, Mr F. Collins; songs, Miaß Allan, Measw S. L. ! Partridge, Massey, and C. H. Partridge.
