TO THE EDITOK. Sib,— Would ifc not be a good idea, inatead of having two half-holidays this week, viz., to-morrow and Friday, to merge the two into one good holiday? rhis would give a chance for the lovers of sport to attend the Heathcote races, whereas if they had the half-holiday on the Thursday they would be prohibited ! trom doing so. As the Bunks and mer- 1 shants' offices close on Friday, lefe us by j all meanß have our holiday on Friday, and j Eor thiß week let Thursday be allowed the < io by.— l am, &c, HALF-HOLIDAY.
