SaliVAtion Army.— -A aeries of special meetings in connection with the annual harvest festival was commenced on Saturday night last in the Salvation Army's Victoria street barracks, and concluded last night with a tea meeting, followed by a demonstration and sale of produce. The meetings were conducted by Major Vince, assisted by a number of the. headquarters staff and other officers. Ae the Major is under orders to leave Christohurch, a large number of people attended the meetings on Sunday to listen to the addresses delivered by him. The barracks were nicely decorated with flowers, fruit and ejergreenß, varied by appropriate mottoes and texts. 10 Ovtaoota-.
