ORDINARY MEETING. . An ordinary monthly' meeting o*'*"® Chriatohurob Hospital Board was held yesterday j present— Mr R. H. Wood /Chairman), and Messrs H. W. Perymau, j J. Hamilton, B. D. Thomas, J. The wards are now occupied by patients. In view ofeffectmg ' economy, your Committee haß considered the question of obtaining from the manufacturetß a supply of crockery which will bear the mark of the Hospital} also, surgical dressing, &c, and it asks authority to aend accordingly. The present chimney shaft not being of sufficient height and) , area for th£ two boilerß, your Committee obtained expert advice, and now begs to • 'recommend that a new one be built according to requirements at an eatimated ooßt of £80 or JB9O. With regard to the proposed • site for the ' 3STarßeB* Home, yoar. Committee haß had levels taken and the site surveyed, planß being on the table. It is found that to effeot proper drainage therefrom to the present main sewer, the pipeß at the site will : require to be supported at least seven feet above the ground. After a discussion the letter was referred to the Committee to report upon. A letter was read from the Chriatchurch , Domain Board, stating that the Board would offer no opposition to the proposed ' aite for the ereotion of the Nurses' Home, : provided that the design of the building „ .was first submitted to the Board. ' The letter was received. THE HINEMOA CASE. Mr Moor said he would like to know how many sailors from the ship Hinemoa were , in the Hospital suffering from typhoid ; fever.
