It adds that they should resist to the death any attempt , to enforce a bastard combination of the two. The Eight Hon J. W. Mellor, M.P. ' for Sowerby, has been elected Chairman o£ Committees in the House of Commons. CAIRO, Fbb. 22. The ferment is subsiding since the Khedive^has shown a desire to maintain order.
