MELBOURNE BETTING.
MELBOURNE, Feb. 22. Betting over the Autumn Meeting of the Victorian Racing Club is restricted principally to doubleß, Sprig o'Myrtle, Warpaint and Bucoleuoh being the favourite selections for the Newmarket Handicap, coupled with St Hippo for the Australian Cup. Prime Minister has been completely knocked back in the betting for the Newmarket Handicap, and offers of 100 to 3 met with no response. Ravenswing has received consistent support for the Newmarket Handicap at 100 to 6, ; while Beverley promises to see a much shorter price.
