♦ [P»B PUEBB ABBOOIATION.I WELLINGTON, Feb. 22. The Department of Agriculture has issued a second series of illustrated leaflets, dealing with the Bathurst burr. The Cabinet has decided to grant a small sum for the purpose of fitting up the New Zealand Court in the Imperial Institute, but will not commit the Colony to any annual expenditure. Representations have been made to the Minister for Mines that a number of men are working in Otago without miners' rights, and it was recommended that the police should be instructed to hunt them up. The Minister refused to do so. A deputation is about to wait upon the Minister for Justice to urge that steps should be taken to put down Sunday trading by Chinese and publicans. A private letter received here states that Sir Julius Yogel has made a brilliant start as an insurance manager in London, and is doing a large business. Hinemoa returned with the Gover- : nor's party from tbe eouthern trip at ten o'clock.
