ALIEN LABOUR BILL.
MELBOURNE, Fkb. 15. The Alien Labour Bill, introduced by Mr Sheldon, and read & first time in the New South Walea Parliament, declares such contracts for the introduction of labour at a cheap rate illegal; it deals with people coming from any part of the world, and provides that they can be sent back at the cost of the personß bringing them out. The object is to prevent paupers being sent out by Societies such as General Booth's and others known to exist. Professional persons are exempted, and provision is made to allow of the admission o2 skilled labour when a new industry is being started and labour is required.
