The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cable message dated LONDON, Feb. 18. Wool. — The sales closed fairly well this day. Since the close of the last sales greasy merino super are at par to §d per lb higher. Greasy merino, medium and inferior, are at par to perlb lower. Coarse greasy cross bred, coarse washed and scoured cross-bred are at par to |d per lb higher. Other descriptions unchanged. Greasy merino lambs, super, are If d to" 2d per lb higher. Greasy merino lambs, medium and inferior, are |d to Id per lb higher. The total quantity sold during the past sales is 256,000 bales, of which 140,000 bales have been taken for the Continent and 20,000 bales for America. It is estimated that 30,000 bales have been held over for future disposal.
