SANDER ft SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTBACT — Under the- distinguished patronage of His Majesty the King of Italy, aa per communication made by the Minister Cor Foreign Affairs, through the Conßul-Genaral tor Italy at Melbourne, March 14, 1878. Awarded Diploma at the Amsterdam Exhibition, 1883, Acknowledged by Medical Clinics and Universities all over the globe. There are imitations of Eucalypti Eztraot in the market, products of simple distillation, forming orude resinous oils. In order that these crude oils may not be taken for our Pure Volatile Eucalypti Extract, which is recognised by the medical division ot the Prussian Government to be of perfeotly pure origin, as per information forwarded to as through tha Consul at Melbourne, March 2, 1878 westato:— it is proved by testa made by the Medioal Clinica of the Universities at Bonn and Greifswald (Prussia), and reported by Dr Shulz, Professor of Pharmacology at Bonn, and Professor Dr Hosier. Director of the Medioal Clinic at Greifswald, that only produots that are saturated with oxygen and free of aoids, resinous and other substances, adherent to primary distilla tion, will develop the sanative qualities proper to the plant. All orude oiL or so-called Eucalypti Bitraots are to be classed according to the named authorities among the turpentines whioh are of insignificant medicinal value, and abandoned long since aa on internal medicament. St Stephen's Choroh, Abhbubton. — Harvest festival services were held at Sb Stephen's Church, Ashburton, on Sunday. The church was beautifully decorated with evergreens, flowers, fruit and corn. The services were conducted both morning and evening by the Key T. A. Hamilton. The musical part of the service wa3 very appropriate. Collections were made at both services in aid of the Eufferera by the Queensland floods, and at the olose of the evening service the Bey T. A. Hamilton announced that the amount of the offertories was J824. He further announced that the collections next Sunday at the Ashburton and Hampstead Sunday schools would be devoted to the same object.
