Forbury Training Notes.
[Pkb PbBSB ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Feb. 20. The weather ia cold but dry at Forbury this mornin?. Huguenot did seven furlongs at half speed, looking exceptionally well. Lakeshell decisively thrashed Busybody in cix furlongs. Tempest did a mile and three-quartets fast, with Hippomenes half the way, Derby bringing her home. The Cup mar* finished badly. Sfcrowan and Eeaponße did Bix furlongs at nearly top speed in only middling time. Saracen had the best of Kate Greenaway in six furlongs, a really.good go. Scot Free and Lochaeaa/ did - a mile at a fair pace. Goldea Pippin accompanied Wyvern a mile at half-pace. The Lumper worked with Captive j the latter fell over a trestle, and the rider, Ross, was pickedup apparently badly hurt and carried to Mercer's, and a doctor was Bent for. The hdrse seemed to be a little lame, but not seriously so. Prime Warden did a mile and a half fast, Lady Zetland fetching him home. The Cup horse wa3 ridden right out, but did not impress the touts. Beadonwell and Tar&nna. did sis furlongs at three-quarter pace. North Atlantic and Spinaway oantered and Bprinted. Clanranald and Awarua Rose did two miles at half speed. Thame • did similar work. Persuasion, Outpost, Rebel, and lots of others did half-apeed work.
