VICE-REGAL.
[Pee Pbkss Association.! j NELSON, Feb. 17. The Governor and party, including the < Counte33 of Glasgow, the Ladies Augusta and Alice Boyle, the Duchess of Buckingham and Chandos, Mies Wolfe Murray, the Hon E. Boyle, Colonel Patrick Boyle, Mr E, ' Clayton and Mr George Gillington arrived by special train at 7 p.m. The Navals formed a guard of honour, and the H Battery fired a salute. The visitors were received by the Mayor and Councillors, and a procession, in which, the Friendly Societies and Fire Brigade joined, escorted the vice-regal party to Church Hill, where addresses from the Corporation and Friendly Societies were presented and acknowledged by his Excellenoy. The Countess and the Duchess were each presented with a bouquet. There were about four thousand people present, and the proceedings were marked by evidences of loyalty. The Governor expressed himself highly pleased with the cordiality of the welcome, specially thanking the Mayor.
