A report gained currency in Lybtelton yeaterday mornitg that a small oraft was "aahore near the entrance to Port Levy. fOn the return of the s.s. a.karoa from the Bays about noon yeeierday enquiry was made of Captain M'Lean, bat be stated he had aeen and beard nothing of any craft being aßhore near any cf the Bays. The schooner Crest oi the Wave called at Port Levy, en route from Greymouth, and being sighted from & distance, no doubt, by some means gave the impression that she was ashore. . . [
