The subscriptions collected at Rangiora for the relief of Bufferers by the floods in Queensland amount to .£55. At a special meeting of the Borough Council, held, last night, the Mayor waa instructed to cable the money thiß morning to the Premier of Queensland. A movement is on foot among the employees of the Addington Workshops, to aid the sufferers m Queensland. At a preliminary ■ meeting held to-day at twelve o'clock, those present resolved to give one half-day's pay to the fund. Messrs Aulsebrook and Co. have intimated to the General Committee, appointed at last night's meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall, that they will send half a ton of biscuits by the s.s. Hauroto, on Monday. , The General Committee has received the folio wing, donations :— Mr J. H. Seager J6l la, Mr A. Gilbert 10a 6d, Mr H. O. D. Meares (Mayor of St Albanß) £5 ss, Messrs Moor and Co., £1 Is. ■•
