One night a tramp, an Irishman, met' an actor coming ottt of one of onr London theatres, who had been playing old" Gaspard, the miser, in Les Cloches de Corneville. " It's a cold night, yer honour." Actor -. " Here yon are, my man " (givea him a halfpenny). Tramp: "Faith! if yer plays the miser inside of the theatre as well as yer do outside, bleat if I don't spend my last sixpence to come and Beeyon."
