Ashburton Cricket Club.— -The annual meeting of the members of the Ashburton Cricket Club was held on Wednesday evening. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year :— 'President, Dr Tweed ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs- Grigg, Thomas, Purnell, the "Rev E. A. Scott and Major Steward; Treasurer, Mr' Mainwaring; Secretary, Mr Andrews.- The appointment of a captain waa held' over till a future meeting.
