___ [Per Pbkbs Association.! WELLINGTON, July 21. CUfc-TOMS. The Customs revenue collected in the Colony for last quarter was .£377,014 against .£350,581 for the corresponding quarter of 1891. Auckland contributed £79,741 ; Wellington, .£81,4371 ; Lyttelton and Christchurch, £59,362; Dunedin, £83,615. GOLD. The quantity and value of cold entered for exportation from New Zoaland for the six months ending June 30 was — Auckland, 18,76302. value £75,210; Marlborough, 27130z, value £10,688 j Nelson, 1508oz, value £5720; West Coast, 56,6470z, value £226,143; Otago, 39,1330z, value £156.890; unknown, 520z, value £206 - total, 118,7010z, value .6474,857. The totals for the corresponding half of the year IS9I were 136,4940z, value .£544,920. POSTAL AND TELEGRAPHIC. The Postal revenue for the quarter waß £45,289. Auckland contributed £5764, Christchurch £5183, Dunedin £5280, and Wellington £7022. For the corresponding quarter last year the total was £45,925. The telegraphic revenue for the last quarter was £27,070, against £27,417 for tha same quarter of 1891. Auckland collected £4566. Christchurch £3648, Dunedin £4225, and WeUington £4977. During the quarter the value of Government telegrams transmitted was £6115, against £6983 for the corresponding quarter of last year. The money-order transactions for the quarter were*. — Issued £162,872, paid: £145,801. Tbe values of the transactions at the chief centres were : — Auckland, issued £27,448, paid £32,143; Christchnrch, issued £18.811, paid £18,288; Dunedin, issued £21,914, paid £25,336; Wellington, issued £27,876. paid £27,941. Savings Bank transactions for the quarter *.— -Amount of deposits £472,199, withdrawals £454,038, bb against £500,943 deposited and £421,487 withdrawn during the same quarter last year. The transactions inthe principal towns were :—Auckland, deposited £57 6SI, withdrew £54,459; Christchurch, de,. .-..i , I 696,868, withdrew £94,102 ; Dunedin, deposited £67,425, withdrew £67,421 ; Wellington, deposited £97,042, withdrew £90,370. The excess of deposits over withdrawals was : — Auckland £3221, Christohurch £2766, Dunedin £4, Gr.;y mouth '3193, Invercargill £2776 and Wellington £6071. At Gisborne, Napier, Nelson, Oamaru, Timaru and Weßtport the withdrawals exceeded the deposits. The total excess of deposits over withdrawals for tho quarter was £18,161, as against £79,456 for the corresponding period of 1891. The value of postal notes sold for the quarter was £21,090, as against £19,845 last year, aad the amount paid was £20,466, againßt £19,104. Auckland sold £3629, paid £4243. Chrißtchurch Bold £2340, paid £3176. Dunedin sold £2785, paid £3486. Wellington sold £3223, paid £3850. In the above itomß shillings and pence are omitted. | METEOROLOGICAL. ! The meteorological returns for June show that rain fell on 21 days in Auckland, 14 in Wellington, 12 in Lincoln, and 15 |in Dunedin.
