Christchurch Regatta Club.

A meeting of the committee of the Christohurch Begatta Club was held last evening at the Canterbury Bowing Club's boathouse. Correspondence was read from the Care Boating Club withdrawing entries for the Senior Fours and Double Sculls on account of the illness of the Btroke, W. Barnes; from the Star Boating Club withdrawing entries for the Senior Pairs and Double Sculls and Single Sculls, owing to one of the crew being unable to obtain the necessary leave of absence. It was decided to alter the order of events, placing the Youths' Double Sculls first on the programme and the Maiden Paira tenth. Tbe Canvassing Committee reported having collected over £30 towards the expenses of the regatta. It was decided to write to the New Zealand Amateur Bowing Association asking that the Championships should be held here next season, and to hold a committee meeting shortly in order to draft a preliminary programme for the approval of the association. The following entries were received for the various events to be decided on Feb. 16 : — Senior Fours, Canterbury ; Senior Double Sculls, Canterbury and Lyttelton ; Senior Pairs, Canterbury and LyttoUon; Ladies' Plate, Canterbury ; Youths' Fours, Canterbury, Lyttelton, Union and Cure; Youths' Double Sculls, Lyttelton, Avon and Tiraaru; Youths' Pairs, Canterbury, Lyttelton, Avon and Timaru; Maiden Fours, Canterbury, Lyttelton, Union and Avon ; Maiden Pairs, Lyttelton, Union, Cure, Akaroa, Timaru and Little Biver; Maiden Double Sculls, Canterbury, Lyttelton, Union, Cure, Avon, Akaroa and LitUo Biver; Single Sculls, Canterbury and Union.
