Coal Mining.
[Per Press Association.! DUNEDIN, Feb. 10. The Chairman of the Westport Coal Company, at the annual meeting, said that the liabilities had been reduced by J816..000 during 1891, and .£18,216 due to the Company had been paid since the I books were closed at the end of the year. With the financial arrangements now made, there is no necessity for any call, and the Company will be able to prosecute | the works for some time without further ! borrowing.
