The President oi the Chrißtchurch Club, Dr Thomas, returned thanks. He complimented the Canterbury Club on the great improvement in its green, which now played perfectly. He hoped that effect would be given to the suggestion that when the first eixteens of both Clubs were engaged in any future match, arrangements would be made for the other players to engage in a friendly match on the unoccupied green. Such an an arrangement would, he thought, tend to popularise the game for those players who bad not been selected for the Club match.
