The feeling in London is bettc-, but a slight painc has taken place in Madrid. The English wheat and flour markets continue to harden. Colonial stocks are unsaleable. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Melbourne, writing under date Nov. 4, reports aa follows : —We have nothing freßh to report in wheat, and with the exception of a few purchases made on behalf of a syndicate little business has been transacted. Prioea remain about the same, 5s 6d being the top quotation for prime. Good malting barley is scarce, consequently, prices have slowly advanced, and for prime to-day 3b fid could be obtained. Feed stuffs still call for attention, oats meeting with a good inquiry at about late rates, Algerians being moßtly inquired after. Maize is moving off quietly at About, late rates.
