Rangiora Literary Institute. — The Managing Committee of the Bangiora Literary Institute met on Tuesday evening, Mr E. R. Good in the chair. The Chairman reported the receipts for the month to have been £1 10s Gd, payments £2 3s lid, balance in hand £7 3s Id. It waa agreed to make a reduction of 5s in the rent of the hall for the recent entertainment in aid of the Borough school prize fund. The Chess Club applied for the use of the hall ante-room at a rental of 2s per night. It waa decided that the charge should be 2s 6d per Bight, provided only three lamps were used.
