LONDON, June 9,

The Russian Government has established agencies in Q-reat Britain, France and Italy, with a view to extend the exports in the wheat trade. Russia is adopting a protective tariff, and will co-operate with Western Europe in developing commercial relations with the Eastern Countries.

At the wool sales 14,000 bales were catalogued. There was a large attendance of buyers and spirited competition. Good merinos and fine cross-breds are unchanged, but medium and faulty merinos and coarse crossbreds are 5 per cent below April prices.
