[Pbb Pbesb Association.] WELLINGTON, June 3. The Linda Weber, which has arrived from Earatonga, brings the following Island news : — The warship Goldfinch wan at Earatonga when the Linda Weber left, and after a cruise through the group with Mr Moss, the British Resident at Eiratonga, was to leave a few days later for New Hebrides. The ketch. Awarua sailed on May 5 for Flint Island nnd Penrhyn Tslaad. The Jessie Nicol nnd Torea pasned through the group, and Vanderbilt's schooner was in harbour. The Clansman arrived from Auckland off the island on the morning of May 7. A new schooner, built by Mr S. Host, was gaily decorated with bunting', ready for launching at high tide, but the attempt did not succeed, and was postponed till later on. Mr Gardiner has charge oE the bond, and i 3 shipping master. Everything in Earatonga is in a flourishing state.
