(PBB JPK.BBB AfUtntixAVlOH.t DUNE DIN, June 3. The Eugby Union brought to a close tonight its investigation into charges made in connection with the Kaikorai — Alhambra match. Resolutions were arrived at to the following effect :— The newspaper statements that the Kaikorai — Alhambra match was sold by certain players are not substantiated. The Committee finds that betting among playera does exist to some extent, but the evidence implicating playing members of club 3 does not justify a conviction though it raiseß grave suspicion. Players and members have not afforded the assistance expected to the Committee, and one player who might have given valuable assistance refused to appear and was disqualified. The action of three members of the KuikoraiClubin concerning themselves in the investment of money for non-players was ill-advised, and such conduct will in future be dealt with as personal betting. Certain evidence laid before the Committee can only be met by the following resolutions : — " That tho Committee considers P. Keogh a professional, and ho be suspended during the pleasure of the Committee. That the resolution be remitted to the English Union, and a copy forwarded to the various New Zealand and Auatralian Unions."
