-■ 4- ~- [PeePkess Association.] "W3LLING ! ON, June 2. A slight shock of earthquake was felt in the city shortly aftur tour o'clock this morning. MATiTO NT, June 2. There was a very severe shock of earthquake at 4.20 a.m., throughout this district. It was preceded by a loud roar and a sound like an explosion. The direction was from north-west to soutb-eaet. BULLS, June 2. After the earthquake this morning, Mount Tongariro waa observed emitting a column of fire and smoko, which remained visible for some time. After sunrise the mountain was seen more clearly than ever before from Bullb. !#r-s • BLENHEIM, June 2. B|A slight shock of earthquake was felt here about half-past four o'clock this morning.
