THE AUCKLAND BOOTMAKERS. [Pbb Pbess Association. j AUCKLAND, Mat 28. In regard to the calling out of the men employed by Mr Sexton, boot manufacturer, the officers of the Bootmakers' Union state that having heard Mr Sexton waa supplying boots to the Northern Company, they, waited upon him and asked him to discontinue doing so. Mr Sexton admitted that he was supplying the Company, and said he could not see what harm that did to the Union. Whereupon it was pointed trat that while Mr Sexton had one boy to four men, the Northern Company had a greater percentage of boys, and that Mr Sexton by assisting the Northern Company prevented the regulation of boy labour. Mr Sexton said the Union had no right to -dictate to him. The officers replied that they had no intention to do so, bub said they did not intend that any of the Union men should assist the Northern Company through him. Mr Sexton'B employees *w ere accordingly called out on Btrike.
