The French Admiral has prohibited British residents in St George's Bay .selling bait to American vessels. WASHINGTON, Mat 27. The President denies refusing Lord Salisbury's proposal to close Behring Sea for the season. Two American cutters have been despatched thither, with orders similar to those issued last year.
