Mails close for tho following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations :— Tuesday, Feb. 3. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 p.m. train. Wednesday, Feb. 4. For United Kingdom and Continent of .Europe, via Brindiai (specially addressed I correspondence only), Point de Galle, India, China, Japan, &c, and Australian Colonies, per express (to connect with s.B. Te Anau, at Port Chalmers), at 10.15 a.m. ; late fee letters, 10.25 a.m. ; guard's van on express at 11 a.m. Postage to the United Kingdom, Gd per half ounce. For South America, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, per Rotorua (to connect with R.M.S.S. Doric, at Wellington), and also for Northern Port 3of New Zealand, as follows : — Ordinary letters, at 7.45 p.m.; latefceletters,Bp.m. ; books and newspapers, 7.30 p.m. ; registered letters and parcel post parcels, 5 p.m. ; money orders, 4 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.5 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on March 10, 1891. Postage to the United Kingdon, 2id per £oz. Thursday, Feb. 5. For Northern Ports and Westporfc, per Takapuna, at 1.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2 p.m. ; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Manapouri, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, ;?45 p.m. ; guard's va:i, 4 p.m. train. Note.— lt should be noted that tbo postage is reduced on letters to the United Kingdom only.
