Small Flounders.

TO THE EDITOR. Sin, — As an Ellesmere Lake fisherman, I beg to state, in answer to your correspondent " Pood," that we do comply with " The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884," in reference to the size of the mesh to be used for flounders. And further, I would point out that none are destroyed under nine inches. I think if your correspondent would make himself sure a9 to the catching of the fish before he rushes into print, he would find that the statement he makes in reference to the fish being dead when drawn out of the water is wrong, aB any person who has any idea of fishing knows full well that no fish is dead before it is out o£ the water some time. And 1 would suggest that your correspondent should take a trip to the fishery and get acquainted with the facts. — I am, &c, FISHERMAN.
